DS3 radar sensor failure

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2012 Citroen DS3, gasoline engine, and was hoping someone could offer some insight. The radar sensor seems to have stopped working. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, and the error memory has also stored the problem. It's also causing a failure of other systems, and a warning light is constantly on. The car only has 30615 km on it. Any ideas? Could it just be a dirty sensor?

Sounds familiar. I've got a DS3 too, though I won't say what year. I had similar symptoms: error messages, warnings flashing... turned out to be related to the radar. If it is the radar sensor, it can cause all sorts of issues. Have you checked if anything is obstructing the sensor, like dirt or debris?

Thanks for the reply! I did give the sensor area a quick wipe, but maybe I wasn't thorough enough. Where exactly is the radar sensor located on your DS3, and is it easy to get to for a proper cleaning?

On mine, it's behind the front bumper, near the lower grille. It's accessible, but honestly, getting to it properly might require removing part of the bumper. If a simple cleaning doesn't do the trick, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and recalibrate the sensor if needed. Mine was just some dirt, but yours might be more complicated.

OK, I understand. Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a local garage, they checked the sensor and cleaned it. Indeed it was dirty. 45€ later and everything is working fine again!
