DS3 Rain Light Sensor Problems

Having issues with the rain-light sensor on my 2011 Citroen DS3 gasoline. Error stored, auto wiping and headlight control not working, speedometer dimming is inoperative, and lights switch on unexpectedly. Suspect bubbles under the sensor's gel pad. Any ideas?

I had similar issues with my DS3. Does it happen mostly when it's sunny or when the weather changes rapidly?

The issue seems to occur irrespective of the weather. Did you ever find the root cause? Any info on potential solutions would be great.

Yep, sounds like the same problem. In my case, it was definitely the sensor. You'll probably have to take it to a workshop. They'll know how to deal with it.

A workshop visit was indeed necessary. They confirmed the defective rain-light sensor. The repair, including parts and labor, cost 62€. Everything is working now.
