Thanks. I haven't had the battery tested independently yet. Where is the voltage sensor located, and is it easy to replace?

On mine, it was attached directly to the battery terminal. Not a hard job, but disconnecting the battery can cause issues with some car's computers, so be careful. Given the symptoms, and my experience, I'd advise getting it checked out at a workshop to confirm. Better safe than sorry when it comes to electrical issues.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed the battery sensor was faulty. Replacement, including labor, cost 315€. Symptoms are gone, and the car is running smoothly again.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my DS3. Weak starts and dodgy lights. I'd check the voltage sensor; it's a common issue. Have you had the battery tested independently, just to rule out a completely knackered battery?
