DS3 Windshield Wipers Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Citroen DS3 has a problem with non-functioning windshield wipers, with diagnostics indicating a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking the rain sensor and cruise control connections, as faults in these areas can disrupt wiper operation. It is suggested to have the vehicle inspected by a workshop to efficiently address the issue and prevent further complications.

Thanks. Yes, my DS3 has a rain sensor, and I'll check that connection. I haven't checked the cruise control. Could a faulty rain sensor or cruise control really cause the wipers to fail completely?

Yes, it's possible. On my DS3, a faulty connection in either the rain sensor or the cruise control stalk knocked out the wipers completely. I spent ages on fuses and the wiper motor before I realised the problem was elsewhere. I'd advise getting it checked by a workshop; it could save you time and further issues.

Thanks for the info and advice. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll take it to a workshop. The estimated repair cost is 95€, which seems reasonable.

I had a similar wiper issue with my DS3. Do you have a rain sensor? Check its connection; it can interfere with the wiper switch. Also, does your cruise control work? The wiper stalk and cruise control are sometimes linked.
