Thanks for the quick response! Limp mode... I haven't specifically noticed that term come up on the dash, but the reduced power definitely feels like something is limiting the engine. How did you resolve the issue? Did you replace the throttle sensor yourself, or did you need a mechanic?

I'm no expert, and messing with fuel or air intake can be tricky, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the throttle valve. From what you're describing, I would not spend a lot of time troubleshooting yourself and bring it to the mechanic. They will know what to do.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I took it to the workshop as suggested, and they confirmed it was indeed a defective throttle valve. The total repair cost came to 265€. It runs smoothly now!

I had a similar issue with my Citroen DS4. The symptoms sound a lot like a faulty throttle sensor. When that goes, the engine can't properly regulate air flow, causing the reduced power and the check engine light. Sometimes it even puts the car into limp mode to prevent further damage. Have you noticed anything like that?
