DS4 Overheating Thermostat Suspected

I'm having a head-scratcher with my 2013 Citroen DS4, gasoline engine. It's got 162,210 km on the clock, and I'm pretty sure the thermostat cooling circuit motor is defective. The engine's been overheating, and it takes ages to reach operating temperature. I've checked for coolant leaks and the water pump seems fine. Am I right in thinking it's the map thermostat? Seems the most likely culprit, based on what I've read.

Sounds familiar. I had similar overheating issues with my DS4. Engine taking forever to warm up too. Did you notice any weird temperature fluctuations before this started happening?

Weird temperature fluctuations... hmm, not that I recall specifically. Just the slow warm-up and then the overheating if I push it too hard. Why do you ask? Did you have the same symptoms?

Yep, same symptoms exactly. Turned out to be the thermostat. Honestly, after messing around trying to diagnose it myself, I just took it to a workshop. Saved me a lot of hassle. I'd recommend doing the same. Is it worth the headache trying to fix it yourself?

Appreciate the advice! Sounds like it's definitely pointing towards the thermostat. I'll book it in with a local workshop. They estimated around 350€ for the repair. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, that really helps!
