DS5 Boost Pressure Sensor Issue

Thanks for the quick reply. I had a good wiggle of the connector and looked for any obvious breaks in the wires, but nothing jumped out. As for leaks, I haven't properly checked the air intake system, where should I be looking specifically?

Thank you for the additional information. Given that you've already checked the wiring and connector without identifying any immediate issues, it's certainly prudent to investigate the air intake system more thoroughly. Focus on inspecting the hoses and connections between the turbocharger, intercooler, and intake manifold for any signs of cracks, leaks, or loose clamps. However, considering the symptoms and the potential for subtle issues within the sensor itself, it would be advisable to take your Citroen DS5 to a qualified workshop for a professional diagnosis. A diagnostic scan can pinpoint the fault code related to the boost pressure sensor, and they can perform more in-depth tests to confirm the sensor's functionality or identify any underlying problems with the turbocharger or air intake system.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I booked it into a garage. Turns out it was indeed the boost pressure sensor cable that was defective. 95€ all in. Runs like a dream now!

Good evening. The symptoms you are describing do indeed point towards a potential issue with the boost pressure sensor or a related component within the turbocharging system. The combination of jerking, whistling/hissing noises, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power strongly suggests that the engine is not receiving the correct air-fuel mixture due to inaccurate boost pressure readings. Could you provide more details on how you assessed the wiring and plug connection? Was there any visible corrosion, damage to the wires, or looseness in the connector? Also, have you checked the air intake system for any obvious leaks or obstructions?
