DS5 Door Lock Problem

My 2017 Citroen DS5, diesel engine, driver's side door won't lock or unlock with the central locking or the key! Mileage is at 146417 km. I reckon it's something to do with the door contact signal. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm dreading the repair bill!

I had a similar issue with my DS5. It could be a defective wiring harness or plug connection in the door. Check the vehicle doors, in particular, the door latch, and the state of the wiring.

Cheers for the tip! When you say 'similar issue', do you mean the door just completely refused to play ball with the central locking? Was it a pain to diagnose? I'm not sure I'm confident enough to start ripping apart the door myself!

Yes, that's correct, the central locking system was unable to lock or unlock the door due to a faulty signal. Given your description, and if you lack the appropriate diagnostic tools, I would advise consulting a workshop to inspect the wiring harness and door switch.

Took it to a garage, and you were spot on! It was a dodgy connection in the door wiring. New connector fitted, all working perfectly now. Cost me 95€ all in. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
