DS5 Engine Stalling

My 2017 Citroen DS5 hybrid is giving me headaches. The check engine light is on, and there's an error code. Worse, the engine keeps stalling at idle. Could this be a bad idle air control valve? I've got 142673 km on the clock. I took a peek at the air intake, and it's heavily contaminated. Anyone else experienced something similar?

Hmm, that sounds familiar! I've got a DS5 too. I had similar stalling issues and check engine light craziness. What's the throttle body looking like? Maybe that's clogged up too? How's your idle speed normally? I am just trying to figure out if it's the same problem I had

The throttle body looked okay, maybe a little dirty, but nothing major. I didn't check the exact idle speed before this started, but it was definitely smooth. Do you remember if cleaning solved your issue, or did you need to replace something?

To be honest, I tried cleaning everything myself, and it helped for a little while, but the problem came back fast. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they said the idle air control valve was faulty and the intake was causing it. They replaced the valve, cleaned the intake properly, and all problems were gone

Thanks! Looks like I'll be booking it in with a trusted mechanic soon. I was hoping to avoid it, but it seems too complex to handle myself. If anyone is interested, the repair cost 425€
