DS5 Intake Manifold Flap Issue

I'm having some grief with my 2012 Citroen DS5 diesel. Symptoms are reduced engine power, rough running, jerking when accelerating, a loud hissing noise under acceleration and increased fuel consumption. I've scanned the OBD and it's flagging an intake manifold flap control problem. Mileage is 114392 km. I suspect a defective intake manifold flap control switch, but I'd like to hear if anyone has experienced similar?

That sounds rough! Had almost exactly the same with my old Saab 9-3, different engine of course, but the hissing under acceleration and the limp mode were a nightmare. Engine light on too, I bet?

Yes, the engine light is on. Was it definitely the intake manifold flap in your case, and did it cause all of those symptoms?

Yep, intake manifold flap was the culprit. Garage diagnosed it pretty quick. Caused all sorts of havoc with the engine management. Honestly, get it to a decent workshop - they'll sort it way faster than you messing about. Cost me a bomb, mind!

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I took it to a local independent garage, and you were spot on - intake manifold flap. They quoted 465€ including parts and labor. Should be back on the road tomorrow!
