DS5 Rail Pressure Sensor Fault

I'm at my wit's end with my 2014 Citroen DS5 Hybrid. The check engine light keeps popping up, and the engine's started stalling at idle, which is a pain. I've also noticed a definite drop in power. I plugged in my OBD reader and it's flagging a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. I'm guessing the sensor is shot, anyone had similar issues?

Yeah, sounds like the rail pressure sensor. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the sensor itself? Sometimes a loose or corroded connection can cause that error without the sensor actually being bad.

Good point, I didn't think about the wiring. Where exactly is the rail pressure sensor located on this engine? I want to make sure I'm checking the right connections. Is it easy to get to?

It's usually on the fuel rail itself, but on the DS5 hybrid it can be a bit tucked away. If you're not sure, and you're experiencing stalling and power loss, honestly, I'd get it checked at a workshop. Fuel injection issues can get messy fast.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the wiring as you suggested, but everything seemed okay. Bit the bullet and took it to a local garage. Turns out the rail pressure sensor was indeed faulty, just as suspected. New sensor fitted and all seems well, cost me 240€. Hopefully, that's the end of that!
