Interesting. I hadn't considered the battery. How did you figure that out? Was it throwing any other noticeable symptoms besides the rear window and windshield?

Yeah, besides the rear window issue, the car was struggling to start sometimes, especially in cold weather. Also, the auto start/stop stopped functioning. Eventually, I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the battery was the culprit. I recommend you do the same, so they can check if it is the battery or some deeper electrical issue.

Thanks for the advice! I'll get the battery checked out ASAP. Turns out you were right! It was the battery. Replaced it, and the rear window heating is working perfectly now. Cost me 290€, but at least it's sorted.

Hey, I had something similar happen with my DS5. My problem was the battery; it was heavily discharged and caused all sorts of weird electrical issues, including the rear defroster not working. Have you checked the battery's condition or had it tested?
