Emissions? I haven't checked them myself. How would I check the emissions, and would that confirm the crankcase ventilation valve as the culprit? I am not sure how to check it. Any further insight?

Checking the precise composition of your emissions requires specialized equipment, generally found at a workshop. Given your symptoms, especially the smoke and power loss, a malfunctioning crankcase ventilation valve is a strong possibility. I would advise having it checked by a professional to confirm the diagnosis and avoid potential further damage.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on – it was the crankcase ventilation valve! Cost me 360€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms with my Ducato. If I understand correctly, you are seeing smoke during acceleration along with a loss of power and a check engine light? It could indeed be the crankcase ventilation. What kind of emissions are you seeing, if you have checked?
