Dynasty ECU fault memory lock active
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Hyundai Dynasty is experiencing an ECU issue with a 'fault memory lock active' message, although the car runs fine. The OBD2 scanner indicates undervoltage as a potential cause, but the battery and charging system appear normal. A similar case was resolved by clearing the ECU memory and installing new firmware, suggesting this as a potential solution.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, the battery seems fine – voltage is normal when the engine is off and when it's running. The charging system appears to be working correctly too, no significant voltage drops anywhere. Any other ideas?

Yep, sounds just like what I had. I messed with it for a bit and then just took it to a shop. Turns out the ECU was throwing a fit. They cleared the memory and installed new firmware and that fixed it. Cost about 240€.

Thanks for the confirmation. Sounds like I'll be heading to the workshop then. At least I have a better idea of what to expect now.

Hey, I think I had something similar on my Dynasty a while back. If I remember right, it was a weird ECU fault. Did you check the battery?
