Dynasty Fuel Flap Release Issue
Summary of the thread
The issue with the 2003 Hyundai Dynasty involves a malfunctioning fuel flap release, which is not responding to the key fob and is storing an error in the memory. Possible causes include a faulty electric actuator or a blown fuse in the circuit controlling the fuel door release. Suggested solutions include checking the fuse and considering a manual cable release for temporary access, but ultimately, visiting a workshop is recommended for a proper fix.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check the fuses first. Where exactly is the electric actuator located? And if it is the actuator, is that a complicated fix?

On my car, the actuator was located right behind the fuel filler door, inside the body panel. As for how complicated the fix is, I wouldn't recommend tackling it yourself unless you have experience with auto electrics. I ended up taking mine to a workshop as I don't have the tools for this.

Thanks for the info. I suspected it might be something like that. I will check the fuse but it sounds like it's time to visit the workshop. I appreciate your help!

I had a similar problem on my Dynasty. From what you describe, it sounds like it could be the electric actuator that controls the fuel door release. Have you checked the fuse for that circuit? Also, is there a manual cable release in the trunk, near the fuel tank? That could at least get the fuel door open temporarily.
