E Klasse Power Window Issue After Battery Change

My 2021 Mercedes E Klasse Hybrid has an issue. After a recent vehicle battery replacement, the power windows don't work. The error memory says window regulator initialization failed. I've tried online window reset procedures, but nothing has fixed it. Has anyone else had this with their car?

I have an E Klasse, and I had a similar problem after some electrical work. The window controls wouldn't respond, and the window switch seemed dead. Did you check the fuses? A surge during the battery change can blow one, stopping the window motor from getting power.

Thanks. I checked the fuse diagrams and inspected the power window circuit fuses. They're all intact and test good with a multimeter. Is there a window reset procedure you used that worked, or any car diagnostics you suggest?

I tried reset procedures, but none worked. I took it to a workshop. They used diagnostic tools to reinitialize the window regulators. The system sometimes needs an electronic kickstart after a power interruption. It might be beyond a simple fix.

I appreciate that. It seems a workshop visit is best. I'll schedule an appointment for them to diagnose and reinitialize the window regulators. I expect the repair cost around 290€.
