Ecosport audio system failure
Summary of the thread
The audio system in a 2005 Ford Ecosport is completely non-functional, displaying an error code. The issue is suspected to be more than a blown fuse, possibly involving a faulty display module or loose wiring connections. Suggestions include checking for loose wires behind the head unit, but the problem may require professional diagnosis and repair, potentially involving replacing the display module.

Cheers for the tip! Where exactly should I be checking for loose wires? I'm not super confident pulling the whole dashboard apart, but if it's something obvious I can definitely give it a try.

Yeah, it's tricky. If it's completely dead and throwing errors, honestly, it might be beyond a simple fix. Could be the display module itself failing. Given the error code, might be worth biting the bullet and taking it to a workshop to get it diagnosed properly. Cost me around 725€ for a new display.

Thanks. I figured as much. I'll book it in at the garage. They've quoted me around the same price, so at least I know I'm not getting ripped off! Appreciate the help!

Sounds like the display might be shot. I had a similar thing happen in my old Fiesta. All the lights went out and the stereo just died. Was a pain. Have you tried wiggling any of the wiring behind the head unit? Might be a loose connection or something.
