Yeah, sure. I mean, in my case, it turned out to be a faulty brake switch. It's located near the brake pedal. Taking it to a workshop might be the easiest solution.

Thanks again for the advice! I checked the brake switch like you said, and it was the problem. It was just dislodged somehow – probably my fault. I reconnected it, and everything's working now. No repair costs!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms: error message and a dead tail light. Have you checked the brake pedal position?
