Ecosport check engine light and power loss

I have a 2018 Ford Ecosport with a gasoline engine and quite some mileage (223502 km). Lately, the check engine light comes on, and I've noticed reduced engine power, poor engine response and higher fuel consumption. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor, maybe a large vacuum leakage? Any ideas?

Hey! I had similar issues with my Ecosport. The check engine light was driving me crazy and the car felt sluggish. Have you checked the sensor itself for any visible damage?

Thanks for the input! I haven't checked the sensor physically yet. Where is it located, and what kind of damage should I be looking for?

It's usually near the intake manifold. Honestly, I'm no expert. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. Turns out it was the manifold pressure sensor, just like you suspected. Big vacuum leak too!

Thanks a lot! I'll get it checked by a mechanic too. It's probably the sensor then, as you said. The repair set me back 235€ including part and labor. Good to know and again, thanks for your help!
