Ecosport Clutch Pedal Switch Issue

I'm having a perplexing issue with my 2016 Ford Ecosport with a gasoline engine. At 202197 kilometers, it shows symptoms of a malfunctioning clutch pedal switch: an error is stored, the gear selection display is non-functional, the cruise control is inoperative, and the engine sometimes won't start. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen this before, and what did you do?

I also drive an Ecosport and had a similar issue. Does your car sometimes stall unexpectedly too? I'm not sure if it is exactly the same, but the symptoms sound similar. It's incredibly frustrating, isn't it?

Indeed, the occasional stalling does occur. Was the root cause definitively traced to the clutch pedal switch, and did the symptoms happen together, or did they appear separately?

Yes, the workshop confirmed it was the clutch pedal switch causing all the trouble. All the symptoms you described were happening at the same time. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally; seems like a common issue.

I appreciate the confirmation and the recommendation. Replacing the clutch pedal switch and repairing the wiring fixed it, at a cost of 95€. Your insights helped speed up the diagnosis. Thank you.
