Good idea about the battery! I hadn't thought of that. I've noticed it's been starting a bit slow lately. Could a weak battery really affect just one seat? I would have thought it would impact more things.

It can be strange how it shows up. In my BMW, the seat went first, then the central locking started acting up. It’s like the seat is really sensitive to voltage drops. If your battery is struggling, that could be it. Since you've checked the fuses, I'd suggest a workshop. Let them diagnose it with the right tools. It could be the seat wiring, but it's better to be safe!

You were right! The shop confirmed the battery was failing and causing the seat issue. A new battery and a reset fixed it. Total cost was 290€! Thanks for the help!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue on my old BMW 3 series. The power seats went haywire after the battery had been drained a few times, though I didn't get any error codes. Have you had your battery tested recently? A weak battery can cause weird electrical problems. I'd check that before tearing into the seat.
