Ecosport tire pressure light stays on

Help! My 2013 Ford Ecosport (gasoline engine) is throwing a fit. Only 49381 km on the clock. The tire pressure light is on, the display says the tire pressure is too low, and the error is stored. I've checked the tires, and they seem fine. What gives?

I had something similar happen with my Ecosport. Are you absolutely sure that all of your tires are properly inflated? It could be a slow leak that you may not have caught at first glance. Also, when was the last time you checked your air valve? Sometimes, they get corroded.

I double-checked the tires, and they're all inflated correctly. The air valves look fine too. Could it be a faulty sensor?

Given that you have eliminated the possibility of a flat tire, and the tire air valves are working correctly, it is quite probable that the tire pressure sensor is defective. These sensors do have a limited lifespan due to the integral battery used to power them. I suggest you have the sensor checked at a qualified workshop.

Thanks! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was the sensor battery. Cost me 280€ to replace. Appreciate the help!
