Ecosport Washer Fluid Warning

My 2013 Ford Ecosport diesel is acting up. The washer fluid low warning is always on, and the windshield washer system doesn't work. The reservoir is full, and the error memory has the fault stored. Could it be a sensor?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The low fluid warning was always on, even with a full tank. Did you check the pump? Maybe it's clogged.

Good point. I hadn't thought of the pump. Where's the best place to access it on the Ecosport? Is it difficult to reach? And can I test it before taking things apart?

On the Astra, it was a tight squeeze to get to it – usually near the reservoir's bottom. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. It could be a fuse but likely the pump motor. They'll diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! You were right. It was the pump. The local garage fitted a new one, and it's fixed. Cost 25€. No more light!
