Ecosport Washer Fluid Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Ford Ecosport diesel had a persistent washer fluid low warning and a non-functional windshield washer system, despite a full reservoir. The issue was suspected to be a faulty sensor or a clogged pump. After considering the possibility of a pump issue, it was confirmed that the pump was indeed the problem. Replacing the pump resolved the issue, eliminating the warning light.

Good point. I hadn't thought of the pump. Where's the best place to access it on the Ecosport? Is it difficult to reach? And can I test it before taking things apart?

On the Astra, it was a tight squeeze to get to it – usually near the reservoir's bottom. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. It could be a fuse but likely the pump motor. They'll diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! You were right. It was the pump. The local garage fitted a new one, and it's fixed. Cost 25€. No more light!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The low fluid warning was always on, even with a full tank. Did you check the pump? Maybe it's clogged.
