Edge Diesel Particulate Filter Issue

Sounds familiar. Had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane, also diesel. Reduced power and smoke are classic symptoms. Have you noticed any increase in fuel consumption or the engine light turning on?

Yeah, fuel efficiency seems worse, and the engine light is on. Did you have that with your Megane? What did you do to fix it?

Yup, engine light and worse fuel economy, same as you. I tried a DPF cleaning additive at first, but it didn't solve the problem for long. Ended up getting the DPF replaced. Would recommend to visit the workshop and check the backpressure on the filter to confirm, but it sure sounds like a faulty DPF.

Thanks for the advice. Took the Edge to a workshop, and it was the DPF. Filter replacement and labor cost me 1550€. But the engine runs great now, and the smoke is gone. Your help was invaluable.
