Edge Passenger Seat Error

Hi, I have a 2009 Ford Edge with a gasoline engine. The passenger electric seat is playing up. There's an error stored in the error memory, and I can't adjust the seat at all. I suspect a heavily discharged or defective battery might be the cause. Anyone else had similar issues?

I own an Edge too, although not a 2009 model. I did experience something that sounds quite similar with the passenger seat a while back. Was the battery actually checked out? Before digging deeper, I'd make sure that's definitely ruled out.

The battery seems okay, though it's the original one. Is there a specific electrical component related to the seat I should check before looking at the whole seat wiring?

While it's tempting to dive into specific components, my experience suggests it's best to have a workshop take a look. There are numerous potential points of failure in the seat adjustment mechanism and associated wiring. They should check the seat wiring for shorts or breaks, and also confirm the seat motor is working.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a defective battery, and replacing it solved the seat issue and cost 290€. Cheers!
