Edge rough idle and engine mount issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Ford Edge owner experienced rough, uneven idling and suspected an engine mount issue. Upon inspection, a defective cable and plug connection were identified as potential causes. After consulting with others who had similar issues, it was suggested to have the vehicle professionally checked. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty connector, confirming the initial suspicion.

Thanks for the quick response! Well, the engine mount itself looks alright visually, no obvious cracks or tears. But the connector to whatever sensor is on there is a bit loose and corroded. Did yours look similar before you sorted it out?

Ah, gotcha. Mine wasn't the connector, the rubber mount itself was visibly shot. But if the connector is dodgy, that could definitely be the culprit. I'd get it checked out professionally, could be something simple. For me, I ended up at the workshop and the mounting bracket was changed. It cost me 95€.

Appreciate the info! I'll definitely take it to a shop. Turns out it was the connector, just like I suspected! New connector and all is well.

Yep, sounds like a classic motor mount issue with the Edge. I had a similar thing happen. What makes you think it's the cable or plug connection, though?
