Elantra seat heater failure
Summary of the thread
The seat heater in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra diesel is not functioning, with an OBD2 reader indicating a seat heating circuit error. A possible cause could be a defective heating mat, as suggested by a similar experience with a faulty thermal sensor integrated into the seat heating mat. The recommended solution is to consult a workshop for a potential replacement of the seat cushion.

Didn't see anything specific about the thermal sensor in the error description, but I'll double-check the freeze frame data for temperature readings. Where's the thermal sensor located? Part of the mat, or separate?

The thermal sensor was integrated into the seat heating mat. Given the error code and lack of heat, a defective seat heating mat is probable. I would recommend consulting a workshop.

Okay, thanks. Looks like a workshop visit to replace the seat cushion. Quoted around 390€ for the repair. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. The seat warmer stopped working, and it was a faulty thermal sensor in the seat cushion. Any error codes related to the thermal sensor? Check that before replacing the heating element.
