Electric Mini Countryman lighting fault
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Mini Countryman experienced erratic lighting behavior, with an error stored in the memory. The issue was suspected to be related to a defective cable or plug connection of the light switch. After checking the fuses, which were fine, it was suggested that the problem might be with the light switch itself. The car was taken to a workshop, where the defective light switch was confirmed and replaced, resolving the issue.

I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. When you say 'similar problem,' do you remember if it was the light switch itself that was faulty, or could it be something else, like a wiring issue? Any further insight would be appreciated.

In my case, after some investigation, it turned out to be the automotive switch itself that was the problem. Given that you've checked the fuses, it might be best to take it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose the electrical problem more accurately.

Took the Mini Countryman to the workshop as suggested. Turns out it was indeed a defective light switch. They replaced it, and the car is working as expected. Total cost was 95€. Thanks for your help!

I had a similar electrical problem with my Mini Countryman some time ago. The car lighting was acting up, but I can't remember exactly the symptoms. Have you checked the fuse box? Maybe it is just a fuse, even if it seems unlikely.
