Electric Steering Column Adjustment Defect

I am experiencing a defect with the electric steering column adjustment on my 2016 Mini Paceman diesel. The error memory stores an error, and the steering column is no longer adjustable electrically. Based on preliminary diagnosis, a defective cable or plug connection of the component is the likely cause. The estimated repair cost is 95€. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Sounds like a familiar problem! I had a similar issue with the electric steering column adjustment on my Mini Cooper. It's like a fuse box, lots of little connections that can wiggle loose. Have you checked the connections under the steering wheel column? It could save you a trip to the workshop.

Could you be more specific regarding the location of these connections?

Yes, the connections are located behind the plastic trim under the steering wheel. You'll need to carefully remove the trim to access them. But honestly, if you are not comfortable doing it, it's best to leave it to the workshop. I ended up doing that after fiddling around for a bit.

Acknowledged. The issue was indeed a defective plug connection, as suspected. The repair cost was 95€. Thank you for the insight.
