Hey there, cheers for sharing your experience! Sounds like a bit of an ordeal, but you're right, definitely better to get it sorted rather than risking it. My Lexus UX's steering has been giving me similar headaches recently, and it's been worrying me a bit. Out of curiosity, do you recollect how much that fix cost you? And did any other issues arise after the repairs? It'd be great to have a bit more info before I head back to the mechanic. Thanks a lot!

Hey, really glad to hear you're considering getting it fixed. Safety is the top priority after all, isn't it? As for the cost, I had to shell out around €155 to get the motor cable connection issue sorted. While it may seem a bit steep, think of it as a one-time expense that saves you from a potential steering catastrophe down the line, you know? Since getting it repaired, everything's been top-notch. Had no follow-up issues whatsoever with the steering column adjustment, and the cowboys at the garage seemed to have really nailed the repair. The motor's humming along nicely and the steering hasn't missed a beat. Hope this helps and puts some of your worries at rest. Cheers!

Hey, cheers for the information! That cost stings a bit, yeah, but like you said, safety's the top priority. Better shell out those Euro now than face a full-on steering disaster later on. Good to hear that your Lexus has been running smoothly post-repair, gives me a bit of comfort. Off to the garage again it is then. Here’s hoping for a quick fix and no other issues popping up. Appreciate your help, took a big load off my mind. Keep safe take care!

Hey there! Just wanted to chime in with what I've experienced. I have a 2019 Lexus NX and faced the same problem around the 170K KM mark. It turned out to be an issue with the steering column motor cable connection. I too had my doubts about going back to the garage, but trust me, you don't wanna ignore this. Mine started off with intermittent issues like yours before the steering adjustability completely gave in. It’s indeed a serious issue that needs attention ASAP to avoid any safety concerns. The mechanic had to dive into the steering assembly. It was a process of disconnecting the battery, removing some interior trim and the driver's airbag, and then getting to the motor cable. Eventually, theyaged to secure the cable connection which fixed the problem. Sure, it was an inconvenience, but better safe than sorry. It's better to have it thoroughly checked and fixed than to chance it. So, I'd recommend heading back to the garage. Choose to see it as protecting your investment and safety. You'll feel more at ease once this is behind you.
