Hey, thanks for your answer! I noticed exactly the same symptoms in my Yaris. That reassures me a little that it really was the battery sensor. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to have this sensor replaced? And you haven't had any more problems of this kind with your Auris since then, have you? Thanks in advance!

Hey, I'm glad I was able to put your mind at ease! Replacing the battery sensor cost me €315 at the time, not a real bargain, but not the end of the world financially either. And yes, since the visit to the mechanic, the car has been running smoothly again, no flickering lights, no starting problems, and generally nothing wrong with the vehicle battery sensor. So, it was definitely worth the money and I would probably do the same again. Don't worry, you can do it too!

Hey, that's super helpful, thanks! 315 sounds like a lot of money, but if it solves the problem and I don't have any more problems afterwards, it will probably be worth the investment. I'm also reassured that your Auris hasn't caused any trouble since. You're right, I really should get on with it. Thanks again for your info, it really helped me a lot!

Hi, I drive a 2014 Toyota Auris and had a similar problem some time ago. It turned out that it was actually the battery sensor microprocessor that was faulty. There were always complications when starting and the lights also flickered, just like yours. In the end, the sensor had to be replaced. It was annoying, but not a real emergency. So you don't have to bite the bullet, but you should take it easy. Hope this helps you and good luck!
