Elgrand cruise control failure

Cruise control stopped working on my 2016 Nissan Elgrand gasoline model. The dashboard light doesn't come on, and there's an error stored. I checked the fuses, and they're fine. Anyone else had this?

That's a bummer. Did you check the pedal switch? Sometimes a faulty brake pedal switch can disable the cruise control. Also, any recent work done that might have involved disconnecting wiring near the steering column? Just trying to narrow it down.

Thanks. I haven't checked the pedal switch yet. No recent work on the steering column or wiring. Could a faulty clock spring cause this, even with no airbag light?

Yeah, a faulty clock spring is a good shout! While it usually messes with the airbag or horn first, it could be the culprit for just the cruise control. Honestly, with an error code stored, it’s probably best to get it hooked up to a proper diagnostic tool. A workshop will pinpoint the issue quicker than we can guess. Could save you time and money!

I appreciate your insights. I suspected it might need diagnostics. The workshop confirmed it was a defective cable connection to the cruise control. The repair cost was 95€. Thanks again!
