EMehari AC Not Cooling

I've got a 2017 Citroen EMehari (electric engine) with about 162,448 km on the clock. Recently, the air conditioning has stopped cooling properly. I've noticed an error stored in the car's error memory, and the climate control seems to be malfunctioning. After some digging, I suspect it's the rear ventilation flap. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause all these issues?

Indeed, a faulty connection to the rear ventilation flap actuator can certainly cause those symptoms. The flap regulates air circulation to the rear passengers. If the actuator (the component that physically moves the flap) isn't receiving the correct signal due to a bad cable or plug, it can throw an error, disrupt the climate control's overall function, and impact cooling performance. Is the error code specific?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the error code does seem to point specifically to the rear ventilation flap. So, if the connection is bad, it could really stop the air conditioning from cooling completely? It seems a bit extreme for just the rear vent, doesn't it?

While the rear ventilation flap primarily affects air circulation to the rear, its malfunction can indeed impact the entire climate control system. The system relies on feedback from various components, including the flap actuator. A missing or incorrect signal can confuse the control unit, leading to reduced cooling performance throughout the vehicle. Given the error code and symptoms, I would suggest taking it to a workshop to check the cables and connection to the component. I believe you will need the rear ventilation flap fault fixed.

You were spot on! I took it to a local shop, and it turned out to be a loose connector on the rear ventilation flap actuator, just like you said. They cleaned it, reconnected it properly, and cleared the error code. Air conditioning is working perfectly again! The total cost was 95€ Thanks a bunch for your help!
