EMehari Active Hood Fault

I've got a 2018 Citroen EMehari, electric engine, and I'm seeing a weird error. The on-board computer keeps flashing "Active hood fault", and the airbag warning light is on. I checked the error memory and it's storing a fault related to the active hood. Seems like the spring actuators are being triggered randomly. Anyone seen this before?

Oh, that sounds familiar! I have an EMehari too, and I had something similar happen a while back. Is it possible it's the acceleration sensor? That was the culprit for me. When that sensor goes bad, it messes with the whole pedestrian safety system.

Acceleration sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located, and how did you figure out it was the problem? Was it a pain to replace?

I am no mechanic but I did ask around when this happened to me. It was the acceleration sensor which controls the active hood. The fault codes pointed directly to it. Honestly, I didn't replace it myself. I took it to a workshop and they sorted it out pretty quickly. I wouldn't mess with the airbag system, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. I'll mention the acceleration sensor and see if that's the issue. Just got a quote for 315€, ouch. Hopefully, that fixes it!
