EMehari headlight range control fault

I've got a 2017 Citroen EMehari, electric engine, with 116046 km on the clock. I'm getting a headlight range control fault. The error is stored, and the warning light is on in the speedometer. The low beam is shining way too low. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds frustrating. I had something similar happen with my 2019 Opel Insignia. Drove me nuts for a week! Was the beam suddenly out of whack, or did it gradually get worse? Have you checked the electrical connectors to the headlight unit itself? Could be a dodgy connection causing the servomotor to freak out.

Thanks for the quick reply! It seemed pretty sudden, to be honest. I'll check the connectors. Is it difficult to get to them on the EMehari? Anything specific I should be looking for?

Sudden is rarely good news. On my Insignia, the connector was a pain to reach, you might need a mirror and a flexible screwdriver. Look for corrosion, loose wires, anything that looks out of place. Honestly, though, if the light is shining way off and the error is stored, it could well be a defective servomotor. If the connectors are fine, and the beam adjustment still is not working, then you should have the light looked at. It could be the control module that is malfunctioning. With beam adjustment problems, you could get someone flashed or cause an accident.

Thanks so much for your help! Turns out it was a defective servomotor in the headlight. Cost me 1040€ to get it sorted at the workshop, but at least it's fixed.
