Endeavour Diesel Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Ford Endeavour diesel is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light, with an error indicating incorrect fuel composition. The issue may be caused by a defective cable or plug connection, leading to fuel contamination. The suggested solution is to have the fuel system checked and potentially drained and cleaned, which was confirmed by a workshop that repaired the defective connection.

Yes, I filled up a few days ago. The error code points towards a problem with the fuel mixture being too lean. Could it be fuel contamination?

A lean mixture and stalling definitely suggest something is amiss with the fuel. It sounds like you've potentially got a bad batch of fuel. I would take it to a workshop to get it checked, and potentially have your fuel system drained and cleaned.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed fuel contamination due to a defective cable or plug connection of the component, and they charged 95€ for the repair.

I also own an Endeavour with a diesel engine. Incorrect fuel composition? Did you recently fill up? What did the error codes specifically say about the fuel mixture?
