Wow, that sounds like a nightmare with your Berlingo! My Nemo is having a similar problem at the moment. I can't believe it was that, but it's good that your car is now running again. If you remember, can you tell me how much it cost you at the garage? And have you had any more problems of this kind since then? It would be really great if I could go to the garage a bit armed and have a rough idea of the costs.

Hey, yes, that was no walk in the park, I can tell you. The whole thing with the exhaust system cost me €265 to get the whole thing tight. Since the mechanic was on it, however, we've managed to fix the defect in the exhaust temperature sensor and so far there have been no more problems of this kind. In your case, I would definitely recommend going to the garage and having it checked. It will cost you, but believe me, it will save you a lot of trouble. Keep your fingers crossed that it will soon be running again!

Oh man, thanks for your advice! That's a lot of money, but well, if that's the solution to the problem, then it's probably worth the investment. Thank you so much for your input and advice! I'm glad it turned out well for you in the end. Well, I'll probably have to visit the garage again soon. Hopefully everything will be running smoothly again. Drändecker again and wish you a safe journey at all times!

Hey buddy, I know the problem all too well. I had a 2014 Citroen Berlingo with similar symptoms myself. Constant engine warning light, powerless drive and the thing smelled of exhaust fumes so bad it was almost unbearable. The workshop first read out the fault memory, which then indicated a problem with the exhaust system. Unfortunately, replacing the exhaust gas temperature sensor didn't help, it wasn't the culprit. It turned out that the exhaust system was leaking badly. It was no small matter and it wasn't easy to solve either. It took strength and perseverance to fix the problem. It was quite an effort, which should not be underestimated, but afterwards the car ran like clockwork again. The DPF story is a topic in itself, but the workshop has already got it under control. So, don't be afraid, even if it means a bit of work in the workshop, I can only tell you that it's worth it. Good luck!
