Enjoy Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
The airbag warning light on a 2013 Enjoy diesel with 140,754 km is suspected to be caused by a cable or plug connection issue. A faulty connection is a likely cause, possibly due to corrosion given the vehicle's age and mileage. It is advised to perform a diagnostic scan to accurately identify the problem, as tampering with the airbag system without proper knowledge can be dangerous. Ultimately, a diagnostic scan revealed a defective cable, and the issue was resolved.

Thanks! I haven't scanned it yet. I was hoping for a simple fix. Where are the crash sensors located on the Enjoy? That might give me a place to start inspecting connections before the workshop.

I understand wanting a quick fix, but without a scan tool, you're guessing, and that's not advised with safety systems. Crash sensor locations vary, and tampering without knowledge is risky. Accidental airbag deployment is possible, even with the ignition off. A diagnostic scan and potential repair costs about 95€. I advise having a qualified technician diagnose the issue. It will likely be a faulty connection.

Okay, you've convinced me. Safety first, and 95€ is worth the peace of mind. I'll book it in. It was a defective cable. Thanks!

The SRS light! A faulty connection is a likely cause. Given the age and mileage, corrosion is possible. Before diving into the wiring, have you considered a diagnostic scan? A scan tool should pinpoint the affected circuit or component, like a crash sensor, potentially saving time. Approach the restraint system with caution; unintended airbag deployment can be dangerous and expensive. What fault codes are being reported?
