Enjoy Gear Display Error Cruise Control Failure

I'm having a weird issue with my 2012 Chevrolet Enjoy (gasoline engine). It's got 160383 km on the clock. Basically, the car is acting up. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and the gear selection display in the speedometer is dead. Plus, the cruise control won't engage, and sometimes the engine just refuses to start. I read somewhere it might be something to do with a faulty clutch pedal switch, maybe a bad cable or plug connection? Anyone else had this problem?

Summary of the thread

A 2012 Chevrolet Enjoy is experiencing issues with a non-functional gear selection display, cruise control failure, and intermittent engine starting problems. These symptoms may be linked to a faulty clutch pedal switch or a bad cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by replacing the clutch switch and fixing a connection issue, suggesting that professional repair might be necessary for those unfamiliar with car electrics.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar happen on my Enjoy. The clutch switch is a small part located near the clutch pedal. It tells the car when the clutch is engaged, which is important for starting and cruise control. Sounds like it could be the same faulty switch causing all your issues.

Thanks! So, do you mean the exact same symptoms? Error message, gear display gone, cruise control not working and the engine not starting randomly? Also, did you manage to fix it yourself?

Yep, all the same symptoms. I tried poking around myself, but electrics aren't really my thing. Ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the clutch switch and fixed a dodgy connection. Honestly, unless you're confident with car electrics, I'd recommend taking it to a pro.

Thanks a lot for the info! That's really helpful. I'll book it into a workshop then. Turns out the repair cost will be around 95€, at least I have a direction now to point them to. Cheers!
