Enjoy transmission issues

I'm having some serious issues with my 2013 Chevrolet Enjoy gasoline. It's got about 52350 km on the clock. Lately, the transmission indicator light and check engine light keep popping up. The automatic transmission goes into emergency mode, and it’s not shifting smoothly at all – feels like it's slipping and making grinding noises. I even had the error memory read, and it shows an issue with the radiator oil pressure. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause all this? Has anyone experienced something similar? Is car overheating also a sign?

Summary of the thread

The 2013 Chevrolet Enjoy was experiencing transmission issues, indicated by warning lights and rough shifting, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection affecting the radiator oil pressure sensor. This problem caused the transmission to enter emergency mode and exhibit slipping and grinding noises. A similar issue was resolved by checking and replacing faulty connections, which restored normal operation. The solution involved a workshop visit where the defective plug connection was identified and replaced, resolving the transmission problems.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar problem with my Enjoy (don't remember the exact year). Those lights coming on and the transmission acting up sounds very familiar. Did you check the coolant level or notice any coolant leak? Maybe it is also the cooling fan. Could be related to the oil cooler too, right? Is the pressure gauge acting funny?

Thanks for the quick reply! Coolant level seems fine, and I haven't spotted any leaks. The cooling fan seems to be working, and no, the pressure gauge is not indicating anything wrong. But why would a simple cable or plug connection problem cause so much havoc? I thought it could only cause something minor.

Yeah, I thought the same thing at first. But with mine, it turned out to be exactly that – a faulty connection messing with the oil pressure sensor. It threw the whole transmission system into chaos. I’d recommend getting it checked by a workshop. They’ll probably find the defective cable or plug connection in a jiffy.

Thanks a bunch! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective plug connection for the radiator oil pressure sensor. They replaced the faulty part and the cables for 95€. Everything's running smoothly now! Appreciate the help!
