Entourage rearview mirror heating issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Hyundai Entourage is experiencing a non-functional rearview mirror heating issue, accompanied by an error code. The problem is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection, rather than requiring a full mirror replacement. Since both mirrors are affected, it suggests a common point of failure, likely the main power feed to the mirror circuit. The recommended solution is to have a professional workshop diagnose and fix the issue, as attempting a DIY repair could lead to further complications.

Good point. It's both mirrors, which does suggest a common point of failure. Where exactly is that main power feed located? Any tips on accessing it?

Yeah, since it's both, highly unlikely both heater elements failed simultaneously. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. I messed with mine for a while and ended up creating more problems. Cost me about 100€ to get it sorted.

Appreciate the advice. Sounds like chasing the power feed might be more trouble than it's worth. I'll book it in. Seems like it is going to cost me around 95€ to fix.

I had something similar on my Entourage. Is it both mirrors or just one? If it's both, I'd check the main power feed to the mirror circuit before tearing into the individual mirrors themselves.
