Entourage Stalling Incorrect Fuel Composition
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Hyundai Entourage is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light due to incorrect fuel composition errors. Potential causes include bad gas or loose cable and plug connections to the fuel system components. A suggested solution is to inspect these connections, but if the issue persists, consulting a mechanic may be necessary, as a similar case was resolved by fixing a defective cable/plug on a sensor for around 95€.

Thanks for the tip! Cable and plug connections, you say? Which specific components should I be checking? I'm no mechanic, but I can usually handle basic stuff if I know where to look. Is it near the combustion chamber?

Yeah, it's a pain, right? Honestly, after fiddling around for ages, I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They found a defective cable/plug on one of the sensors related to the fuel system. Cost me about 95€ to get it sorted. Saved me a ton of frustration. Sometimes, you just gotta admit defeat and let the pros handle it. If it was contamination from poor fuel quality it would be a different animal

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I think I'll throw in the towel and take it to my trusted mechanic. At least now I have a starting point thanks to you. Hopefully it's a quick fix! It sounds just like what you're describing. If it is just a loose connection, 95€ sounds like a steal.

Ugh, that sounds familiar. I've got an Entourage too, and I went through something similar a while back. The incorrect fuel composition error is a nasty one. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the fuel system components? Sometimes a loose connection can cause all sorts of havoc. It's like a loose wire on a Christmas tree, everything goes haywire!
