Eon Engine Won't Start
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Eon with low mileage experienced an issue where the engine wouldn't start, suspected to be an engine control malfunction. A suggestion was made to check the battery cable connections, as loose clamps could prevent the engine from cranking. After cleaning and tightening the battery connections, the problem was resolved, and the car started running smoothly again.

Thanks! You mean the clamps on the battery itself? Were your symptoms exactly the same? Engine just refusing to crank?

Yep, the battery clamps. The car was completely dead, wouldn't even try to start. I tightened them up, and it worked fine for a while, but it kept happening. Ended up getting them properly cleaned and re-seated at a workshop.

Thanks a lot! Turns out the connections were indeed the culprit. Cleaned them up and tightened everything. Runs smoothly again. Cost me 155€ for the whole thing.

Hey, I had something similar with my Eon. Check your battery cable connections first. If they are loose, that might be the issue.
