Eon rough idle and whistling noise
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai Eon exhibited issues such as a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, stalling when idling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. These symptoms suggested a potential problem with the boost pressure sensor or its cable connections. After inspection and repair, it was confirmed that a defective boost pressure sensor due to a faulty cable connection was the cause, and fixing it resolved the issues.

Thanks for your quick response! I haven't specifically checked the intake manifold for leaks, but I'll take a look. My Hyundai Eon does not have a turbo charger. Do you think that makes a difference regarding the boost pressure sensor?

Ah, no turbo. In my case, the turbo was the main culprit since the faulty sensor was messing with the boost. Since you don't have one, the sensor might be extra sensitive. But definitely get it checked by a workshop to be sure, especially with the check engine light on.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I took it to the workshop and it turned out to be exactly what we suspected: a defective boost pressure sensor due to the cable connection. The repair cost me 95€. The car is running smoothly again.

Hey! Those symptoms sound familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa; it turned out to be the boost pressure sensor. Did you check the intake manifold for any leaks or loose connections around the air intake? That's usually the first place to look. Also, is your Eon turbo charged?
