Epica fog sensor issues
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Chevrolet Epica diesel is experiencing issues related to a fog sensor error, affecting the air conditioning, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The problem is suspected to be due to a bad cable or plug connection to the sensor. Checking the wiring harness for damage or corrosion is suggested, but ultimately, taking the car to a workshop is recommended for a quick and effective resolution.

Yeah, I gave the wiring a quick once-over, but didn't see anything obvious. Where exactly should I be focusing my attention? Any specific connectors or areas that are known trouble spots?

Honestly, I couldn't find anything myself. I brought it to a workshop to fix it, which was definitely a better option than fiddling about blindly. They identified the faulty connection in under an hour.

Thanks for the advice! Taking it to a workshop sounds like the best course of action at this point. Got it sorted for 95€. Definitely worth it to have everything working again!

I had similar symptoms on my Epica. The fog sensor can cause all sorts of headaches with the climate control system. Have you checked the wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion? Sometimes a loose connection is all it takes to mess everything up.
