Epica MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Epica is experiencing a MOST bus fault, resulting in a non-functional audio system and navigation. The issue is suspected to be a defective module within the MOST ring, such as the amplifier, navigation unit, head unit, or phone module. Diagnosing the specific faulty module requires specialized equipment, and professional assistance is recommended to avoid a potentially costly and complex troubleshooting process.

Thanks for the reply. By 'hefty bill', are we talking hundreds, or thousands? Also, did your diagnostics point you to a specific module, or did you have to go through them one by one?

Oh, 'hefty' as in potentially a thousand Euros. Yes, sadly, it's annoying. My issue also started like yours, exactly those symptoms. I'd advise you, go to a workshop, unless you have the equipment to diagnose MOST bus issues. If you don't, you will need someone with proper diagnostic tools, otherwise it can turn into a wild goose chase. It is hard to say which unit is the issue, but for me it was the amplifier.

Appreciate the advice. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like I'm out of my depth. Booked it in for next week. Sounds like my estimate was close, the bill was 1000€.

Oh, I know this one. I had a similar nightmare with my Epica. I bet you a shiny Euro that you have a defective module in the MOST ring. Prepare for some serious diagnostics... which module? Could be anything, really. Amp, nav unit, head unit, phone module. Good luck with that. It's a pain. You're probably looking at a hefty bill.
