Was the amplifier failure also accompanied by an error message in the system's memory Did you notice any other unusual symptoms prior to the complete failure such as intermittent sound loss or distorted audio quality

Yes there was an error code I don't remember exactly which one though No weird sounds before it died just completely silent one day I’d suggest getting the workshop to really check that amplifier connection before anything else

I took your advice and specifically asked the workshop to examine the amplifier connection It seems you were correct The issue was indeed a faulty connection to the amplifier They were able to repair the connection and the audio system is now functioning perfectly Thank you again for your helpful suggestion it saved me considerable time and expense

That's a bummer about your audio I have an EQC too and it sounds like the same problem I had last year My sound system just died completely silent They also suspected the display Did they check the amplifier That was the actual problem in my case Could also be a loose connection somewhere
