EQC brake pedal feedback issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Mercedes EQC electric model is experiencing brake pedal issues at around 179,140 km, with the pedal feeling strange and sometimes unresponsive. Possible causes include worn brake components like pads or shoes, or an undervoltage situation affecting the disc brakes. Another potential cause could be interference from the regenerative braking system. It is advised to consult a professional to diagnose and resolve the issue, as it may involve complex interactions within the brake system.

How can I verify if the regenerative braking system is functioning correctly? Is there a specific indicator or test I can perform to isolate the issue and determine whether it affects the brake pads or the overall brake system?

I couldn't figure it out myself. The regenerative braking is pretty integrated. If you're getting weird feedback, especially at that mileage, it's probably best to get it checked by a workshop. It could be a sensor issue or something messing with the whole system. Don't risk your brake system.

I appreciate the advice. Consulting a professional seems prudent. The repair was 240€. Thank you for the help.

I have an EQC as well and had a similar issue. The brake pedal felt like it was fighting back. Have you checked if the regenerative braking is working properly? It might be interfering with the mechanical brake system.
