EQC Electric Steering Column Issue

My 2020 Mercedes EQC electric engine is showing a fault. At 186800 km, the electric steering column adjustment is no longer working. There's an error stored but the column won't adjust. Suspect cable or plug. Has anyone seen this before?

Ugh, steering issues are the worst! I had something similar with my EQC – not exactly the same mileage, but close. The electronic steering went haywire. Did you check all the fuses related to the car steering system? It might be a simple fix, but honestly, electronic steering can be a nightmare to diagnose.

Thanks. Which fuses specifically? And what exactly was the steering issue you had? Was the steering column itself affected?

Can't recall the exact fuse numbers, sorry. Mine was fully electric steering failure warning, power steering assist was completely gone. Best to get it checked properly. My local workshop found it in minutes.

Thanks. Confirmed it was just a dodgy connector as suspected. 95€ later and it's fixed
