EQC Engine Power Reduction and Error Messages

My 2020 Mercedes EQC electric model, with about 175148 km, has a significant reduction in engine power and is logging error messages. An auto scanner returned a diagnostic code related to engine performance. I suspect it's related to a chip tuning modification. Any insight or direction to start?

I have an EQC as well. A similar engine issue cropped up for me some time ago. Was the fault code something specific, or a more general error? Did it occur after the chip tuning?

The diagnostic code was fairly generic, like 'performance degradation'. It started happening after the chip tuning, though it took a while. What was your experience? Did the auto scanner point to anything concrete, or did you have to dig deeper?

In my case, it was definitely the chip tuning that caused the issue. The car computer wasn't happy with the modified parameters. I'd suggest a thorough diagnostic at a workshop familiar with electric vehicles.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the chip tuning was the culprit. They reset the car computer to its original settings. Repair cost was 180€. The engine issue appears resolved now.
